Sacramento Kings

So, as any NBA fan can see, the Sacramento Kings kind of pooped on themselves this past season, but I was okay with it because I thought that maybe they were going to realize they need help and make a big move over this summer. Oh, but no, they have only have made 2 changes to their roster this summer so far (besides the draft), neither benefiting the Kings.

Their first change was acquiring Portland guard Sergio Rodriguez. His stats? .8 points per game, .6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Seriously? This is who they decided to waste money on. Come on. Yes, we could use a point guard (along with almost every other position) but to settle for this. It only gets better.

The second player the Kings picked up was a power forward from the Charlotte Bobcats. His name? Sean May. Have you ever heard of him? Probably not because 1) he played for the Bobcats and 2) he never played... WHILE ON THE BOBCATS! His stats of last season were 3.9 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, .4 assists, and only played in 24 games last season. Once again, why are the Kings wasting money on players with these crap stats?

It doesn't make sense to get these players when there are free agents that are much better and not too much more expensive. For example, Al Harrington, Desmond Mason, Nate Robinson, or Ramon Sessions plus many others that would be a lot better than those two dinguses that they have picked up. Sure these players aren't that good, but that's because it is a little late in the summer, and all of the good free agents have been taken, duh. But that doesn't give the Kings an excuse to pick the worst players possible.

Anyway, we'll have to see if that works out for the Kings. And maybe the Kings will move up in ranks, even though it's not like they could move down in ranking. Even though the Kings make stupid decisions, I will be behind them the all the time, no matter what happens. I just hope that next summer will go over much better than this summer.
